- Maha Shivaratri, Thiruketheeswaram and other Shiva temples: Usually Feb or Mar. Night of prayer to Shiva; pilgrims gather at the ancient Ishwaram temples such as Thiruketheeswaram.
- Feast of Our Lady of Madhu, Shrine of Our Lady of Madhu: Usually 2 Jul and 15 Aug. Catholic pilgrims of every community gather at the jungle shrine of Madhu for its two great feasts.
